Mrs. GLP was quite good to me this Christmas. Besides scoring a bottle of 15-year-old Pappy Van Winkle, she also got me quite a few new items for my closet. One of these gifts was a pair of Logan Loafers by Bass. So far they’ve been put to heavy use and I’d recommend picking up a pair for yourself.
The Logan is a classic flat strap penny loafer and one of many that constitute the Weejuns line. Available in black, burgundy and tan (my pair is tan), other touches include handsewn moccasin construction and leather outsoles. The cushioned insole keeps them comfortable and I haven’t had any issues with wearing them all day. They make a great all-around shoe that transitions easily from the office to going out on the town and it all comes at a relatively inexpensive price point.

These are indeed GREAT shoes! I can’t count how many I’ve gone through over the years, as I’ve worn them as long as I can remember. They’re a tradition in my family, too – my father wore them long before I did. There are several pair in my closet right now, in various colors and stages of wear. You’ll love these shoes forever!
