After an increase in sales and a growing adoption as a year round wine, rosés are being called by many the wine of 2016. This should be especially prevalent right now in champagne as retailers are getting ready for Valentine’s. The notion has been dropped that all rosés are overly sweet “girly” wines and a full appreciation of the style has emerged. So, to stay on trend, let’s match that rosé with the Blush Funds from Bonobos.
The Blush Funds are just that right shade of pink that they will dissuade many friends taking the plunge but will reward those that do. The pastel is reined in enough that these likely just barely qualify as “go-to-Hell” and you’ll find ample opportunities to wear them. They would be perfect for a Valentine’s date or, looking further ahead, Easter. Just don’t spill the rosé on them. The color may be close but you’ll still have a pair of wet pants.
