Red Wing Heritage Iron Ranger Boot

So much for thinking that winter might be over and snow-covered streets were behind us. It’s not that I particularly dislike the snow. It certainly looks better than the dirty slush left behind as it’s melting. But I’m sick and tired of the gray skies that have had me feeling like I live in the post-apocalyptic world of The Road for the past few weeks. At least give us some sunshine so we can pull on a pair of boots, like the Iron Rangers from Red Wing Heritage, and go out and enjoy the snow a little.

Originally designed for the grizzled iron miners of the Mesabi Iron Range in Minnesota, a simple trek down snow-covered sidewalks is a walk in the park for the Iron Rangers. These 6-inch boots are made from oil-tanned leather, which helps them resist water, stains and perspiration. A new Vibram® 430 Mini-lug sole offers improved grip and traction to combat the ice and Goodyear welt construction allows these boots to be resoled after you have beat them up for a few years. There’s plenty of snow on the ground now, so put these to good use.
