Since the Brand Bracket is going on, I won’t be covering any of the brands competing in it until they are eliminated. Don’t want to show any favoritism. But once a brand is eliminated, it’s free to be written about again. Think of it as a consolation prize. The first of that bunch is Taylor Stitch and the Democratic Chino.
The Democratic Chino is a workhorse, a “hardened steel frame with an air ride suspension” as Taylor Stitch would describe it. The twill is both sturdy and soft so that the pant holds up over the long run but also stays comfortable. The pants come in a 36″ inseam, ideal for tailoring to the perfect length. Small touches help define the chino, like a map of San Francisco printed on the inside of the pockets. All in all the Democratic Chino is a wardrobe staple, one that can move from the cubicle to the Cub’s game with ease.
